Sub-processors

The third parties we rely on to run Mailhuset, what each one does, and where it processes data. Everything that touches your email data stays in the European Union.

EU data residency

Your email data (recipients, message content, delivery logs and inbound mail) is processed and stored only in the European Union. Mailhuset runs on Microsoft Azure in Sweden, sends through Amazon SES in Stockholm, and stores inbound content in Amazon S3 in Ireland. We built EU-first, so this is the default, not an add-on.

The one caveat we call out plainly: Amazon Web Services is a US company. Where personal data reaches AWS we rely on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses and AWS’s EU data-residency commitments. See international transfers in our DPA.

Processors that handle email data

These sub-processors handle the personal data you send us as part of the service. We put data-protection terms in place with each of them and remain responsible for their processing.

Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES and Amazon S3)

Delivering the email you send, receiving inbound email, and storing inbound message content and attachments.

Location: European Union: Stockholm (sending) and Ireland (inbound storage). AWS is a US company.

Microsoft Azure

Hosting and running the service, including the database that holds message logs, contacts and inbound content.

Location: European Union: Sweden.

Payment providers

Our payment providers receive your own billing details to take payment. They never receive your recipients’ data, so they sit outside the list above and are covered by our Privacy Policy.

Polar

Processing card payments and subscriptions (USD). Polar is the merchant of record.

Location: United States.

Paystack

Processing payments for customers billed in Ghanaian cedi (GHS).

Location: Ghana.

Changes to this list

We update this page before a new email-data sub-processor starts, and (where we can) give notice so you can object on reasonable data-protection grounds. To be told when the list changes, email support@mailhuset.com and we will add you to the notification list. This page is the authoritative sub-processor list referenced by our Data Processing Agreement.
